Let’s know about CDS
The full form of CDS is Combined Defence Service. This exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice a year. This exam is being conducted for the officer post in the Indian Army. This exam is recruiting candidates for the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Indian Air Force Academy.
The CDS exam consists of a written and an SSB interview. Many students take this examination but only some students can qualify for the written exam. Those candidates who qualify for the CDS written exam can only go for the next round which is the SSB interview where candidates are examined physically for the Indian Army. The age to take this exam is 19-25 years. You can give this exam after completing your graduation.

Can Girls also apply for the CDS Exam?
Female candidates can apply for the OTA (Officers’ Training Academy) entry, which includes the Short Service Commission (Non-Technical) in the Indian Army. They can also apply for other courses, such as the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Indian Air Force Academy (AFA), if they meet the respective eligibility criteria.The age limit for female candidates applying for OTA (Officers’ Training Academy) entry is between 19 and 25 years old.
Female candidates applying for OTA should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Both unmarried and married female candidates can apply for OTA. While female candidates can apply for OTA, the other academies like IMA, INA, and AFA are typically open to male candidates only.
